06/24/10

Ok well, here we are again in the green cafe's cyber cafe.

Yesterday (Wednesday) it rained pretty hard and steady the whole day, so we didn't have the best turn up for readers, but it was alright to have an easier day in the week. Now we will talk about our host family and some of the people we have come to know and love.

Our host mom, Phanyce, really is a fantastic cook and lovely woman. She is always taking care of us and her mischievious three year old, Christian, whom we have all fallen in love with. He has basically claimed Kameryn as his girlfriend :) ha, but we think he still loves the rest of us too.

The man of the house, and our minister is Paul. He is a great man who has helped us get a great turn out for our readers and is always busy doing work for the Lord. He has many visions and asks for prayers in:
Getting computers and books to help educate the people in Mombasa and the Church
Getting a car to help reach others in mission work
and helping his church to grow in numbers and faith in order to spread God's word.

Franklin is an extremely selfless man, who loves to help people. He also takes care of us at the church everyday. He never leaves our side and does whatever we want. We like to call him our "body guard" or maybe our "guardian angel." :) He also has a vision to set up an orphanage with his beautiful wife, Matilda, for the children of Kenya. He was sick on Wednesday, but is back feeling better today. Praise God.

The house we stay at has six people in total: Paul, Phanyce, Alpha (14), Bill (12), Christian (3), and Pamella, Phancye's niece (20). They are too kind to us and are taking care of us very well. OK, well today has been a good day so far! going to go back to the church soon to continue our reading which is also going very well. Thanks for the prayers and comments!
